Here's a little something to show you that I have actually been drawing this year! just not super active here.

Chebits is my main moniker/username, and if I could change it here I totally would, but oh well!

2018 as a year felt like forever, and it was HARD. I finished working on a show I'd been working on for over a year, then moved to a completely different studio for the first ever time in my career to work on a new show with people I had never met. It was really scary! But fun and I'm glad I did it.

I took a mentorship with an artist I look up to to learn more about painting, and get more on track with where I wanna take my art and learned so much! Slowly but surely I'll get to where I want to be.

Near the end of the year though, my life kinda fell apart. Within a week of each other, and around my birthday to boot, my girlfriend dumped me and my roommate said he was moving out. This left me with the task to try and find a roommate to replace him. In that time however, I decided I really didn't want to live with another person unless we were dating, so in a few weeks I'm moving into a new apartment to live by myself for the first time in my life. It's scary, but exciting!

I think in 2019 I want to challenge myself to put more backgrounds in my personal work, to push using composition and other staging skills, rather than just purely character work. Here's to doing more environment designs!
