When the bell tolled, the crowd erupted like a volcano, spreading ash in the form of cheers down upon the contestants below. By the time he had realized what had just happened, the official was handing Aidan a blue strap that was stamped with golden faceplates. The belt read "CFA Tag Team Champions". He gazed upon the glistening golden letters staring back at him. Champions. The word was powerful. Synonymous with achievement. Victory. Winner. In the past, these words had escaped him. When he played football, it wasn't until his senior year of high school that his team became a legitimate contender for a state championship. That season would ultimately end in failed dreams when Aidan tore his right ACL during the season, ending his high school career. Without their best player, his team would lose in the first round of the playoffs. It was the closest he would get to glory until today...
Slash also knew the pain of defeat well. While excelling on the basketball court, he struggled in the classroom. He became ineligible to compete with his teammates and had to watch as they failed to qualify for post-season competition. Years later had accumulated to this. The wolf had been through several types of fights in his life, but he didn't expect to become a champion by literally fighting. He wrapped his paws around the strap and lifted it high over his head to let the crowd witness his prize. Thunderous applause pulsed adrenaline through his veins leaving a sweet taste in his mouth reminiscent of his favorite candy. It tasted good and he wanted more...
The fight in which Slash and Aidan won these belts is in Chapter 11 and featured Trayten and Cesar as the opponents. Love how this turned out and I have my first visual of the CFA Tag Champion belts. Pretty cool and hope you enjoy. Most of you know of but if not, definitely check him out.
