I never really appreciate the hard work I have done over the expanse of an entire year until I sit down and put one of these together.

2018 was a year of great learning and lots of struggles, both personally and art wise. I tried to push myself really hard on both my digital and my traditional to become a better artist. I still look at my stuff and see things that can be changed, and bettered. Yet, at the same time I step back and look at this art as a whole and see stuff I absolutely love about my struggle and growth as an artist.

I have most certainly perfected my way of taking commissions and giving time frames. I learned how to discipline myself and only take what I had the time to do, even if that meant turning some people away, or even putting personal projects on the back burner. I have upped the quality of my clientele, pushing out those that cause artists like myself grief if our prices are too high (for them).

In my personal life I got out of a short term relationship that proved to not be beneficial for me, while still trying to remain friends, which didn't end well. This personal struggle reflected in my art as well, making it hard to do any personal meaningful pieces. I hope that changes in 2019 for I enjoy making stupid funny things between my own characters, and others, to make me, and my audience laugh.

Lastly, I started a Patreon in 2018, and while it's been a bit slow to take off, I have several loyal supports and I plan to make 2019 a year to focus and better that whole system for those who want to support my art. In 2019, I am also hoping to continue with my work, both traditional and digital, and improve even more, just as I have in years past.
