-Cauldron Mages are omnivores, capable of eating just about anything. Their digestive enzymes allow them to break down clothing and even most armour. While they require a living meal to cast magic, they do still need nutrients to live, and often have full diets apart from living beings.
-When eating nonliving food, the reticulum will empty its contents into the abomasum almost immediately.
-Because they need living prey to perform magic, a cauldron working on an empty stomach often needs to start with small mammals, birds, or reptiles.
-They can swallow anything that they can fit in their mouth.
-They live about as long as elves.
