Another commission for Peachcat: i this illustration, wings were added to the mix, along with a new wardrobe. There’s something about simple, poofy cloudy backgrounds that I find appealing. Like being in a room full of cotton candy pillows, only not sticky. Just fun to look at, I suppose - and they do a nice job of letting characters take prominence. The costuming is very Renaissance Festival inspired, but I doubt this exact design exists. Another sad example of David imagines clothing no one can ever have. Not that I could necessarily pull off those pants. But I wouldn’t say no to taking those wings for a spin. The entire outfit is quite awesome -- And if you could recruit a renegade fashion designer to manifest your outfit designs...Oh boy oh boy! Mode révolution! XD
I really, really like Peachcat. I'm gonna hafta check out her profile post haste...Anyways, back on track, back on track. It would be so amazing to fly with wings of our own. No planes or rockets...Actual wings. The clouds make for a very beautiful background, and you're right about how they do a good job of leaving focus on the character. The details on the wings are very nice -- Kinda working in the opposite from the design you had for Ruffy's wings. Both are badass.
One last thing: I'm loving Peachcat's tail...Fluffy~!
