Ok, I couldn’t NOT follow up after that NYE pic. I knew it was a sadder pic, but the response I got surprised me. I had people I’ve never talked to messaging me asking if I was ok. People commenting on how much it resonated with them. Even a few rather strong reactions. While I was happy my picture garnered such a response, I was also saddened by the nature of it. People out there feeling alone, not looking forward to the new year, in a darker place than many. I really do hope this new year is better than many expect it to be. I’ve only been around the fandom for a short time, but in that time I’ve come to discover how much people care about and look after each other here. So let’s hold out a bit of hope for the new year, and keep being awesome to each other. Together we’ll make it rad.
