This, is a goddamn good piece of short story. It gets at what I know as the core of a great deal of relationships; Power, aspiration, uncertainty, hope and venture. It tickles the spots which we know in our romantic sides, the questions, "If only it could be." "What if it could?" "Would they..?"

For such a short story it encapsulates so much of the great dramas which rage in our hearts with these matters.

Me, personally? I'm probably just not reliable enough to go in for that sort of thing. The time lapse between the most recent part of my current story on FA and those previous to it (and the laughably small amount of work that needed to be done) proves that.

Perhaps you should read 'Print-On-Demand Book Publishing' by 'Morris Rosenthal' and do what the rest of us are doing, cutting out the stupid middlemen.

It flows well, and there's a varied and imaginative use of language. It's a little purple for my tastes, here and there, but I've always been a tad soulless, so I wouldn't worry yourself too much about that. All in all, a nice little story with some genuine emotion to it. Just the sort of proficient job I'd expect from the best writer I know.

bear in mind it was deliberately over-written, because I only had 1300 words or so to make a point and wrap things up. Better purple than grey ;) Also, I did write it with a readership of furs in mind. Most of us, I suspect, feel like misfits most of the time ;)

What can I tell you, 'fox? I know a lot of people who write, and some of them write pretty well, but you're the only one I think of as "The Writer".
