The internet was a mistake, twitter is the spawn of that mistake

I love this so much. I wish Twitter wasn't such a popular site for artists to use exclusively, I don't want to wade through Twitter beef to get my dose of art.

Not sure why suddenly making an Anthropomorphic version of something became so relevant, I mean Furries have been doing that since the beginning of Furry Time.

It's due to Twitter themselves saying as a rule to not anthropomorphize the birb logo. The internet responded in kind.

i don't really know what's happening regarding this meme but anything that actively opposes twitter makes me happy and apparently twitter is not happy with this

technically its good for twitter since people are using it for the sake of shitposting. Twitter doesn't care about the art but the guidelines that say no anthropomorphize the logo is for 3rd party representation. Companies usually have guidelines about what to do with their brand. A lot of companies have them.

More like almost every fandom at this point, hardly isolated to furries. It's kinda sad really.

Technically yes, I think Twitter draws that out a bit more, though. The culture there seems to encourage people to share their opinions about everything, but at the same time, they have an obnoxiously short character limit.
Whiiich isn't a good combination, as lower word counts tend to make the tweets read off a bit more snarky/rude than they may be intended to, leading to lots of annoying little fights over stupid crap.
Some opinions need a good few paragraphs to actually express properly, and cramming it into either one tweet, or taking the time to make a tweet chain, (Which is still going to suffer) is just asking for a toxic community.

Not really that, just a case of 'rules say don't do this but internet will do it regardless' kind of thing. Twitter hasn't gone out of its way to try and nuke every TweetFur image to my knowledge.

I'll only talk politics with you if we agree to eliminate nuance and subtlety, and draw hard-set dividing lines between anyone who has any difference of opinion, while assuming those who disagree with us are stupid, evil, and insane. After all, we don't want to breach twitter protocol by not following the customs.
