I've said on occasion but the game that started gettimg me thinking about musical instruments was Square's Legend of Mana on ps1. The style of this game is so open and ripe for interprestion, despite also being insanely intricate and detailed. And with songs like 'cliff town gato' I would come to know how a hunk of wood could inspire amazing tunes and magical tricks.
It might help the game has a flattening animation, but whatever this kind of fantasy theme and astouning monster design is pretty much my favorite thing.
Finally after 19 years I finally inflate these two beautiful creatures known as Larc and Sierra the Dragoons.
