[OLD SKETCH] Camel Stomping Snake
OLD SKETCH - Date estimated July 2010
Here's a funny little doodle I did many years ago which I've just been reminded of and thought I'd share with you all.
Anyone who has ever managed to read through all of the exceedingly lengthy 'About Me' page on my website may have stumbled upon this paragraph:
I did not begin drawing material relating to my fetishes until around 2000. One of the earliest fetish pictures I remember drawing involved a camel trampling a snake - an idea influenced by seeing a cartoon involving something similar.
The drawing in question was a scrappy pencil-on-paper comic I drew in my early teens. It was inspired by a couple of cartoons in one of those old Horrible Geography books that I used to read as a schoolkid. One of them featured a snake hitching a lift across the desert by clinging onto a camel's leg. In my warped little teenage brain however, I subsequently ended up fantasising about what would happen if said camel were to shake the snake off his leg and leave him at the mercy of his four thumping feet...
That original drawing of mine has long gone, consigned to the bin probably about 18 years ago. This was way before I ever knew the fandom existed and before I had any clue there was anyone out there who shared my same odd 'interests'.
Some time later in about 2010 - by which time of course I was very much in the fandom - I ended up chatting about this old camel cartoon with a few folks, at which point I ended up doodling a quick, silly little recreation of part of the comic. Having shared it with a limited audience at the time, I then forgot all about it... until it happened to crop up again in conversation today.
Just for a laugh therefore - and in keeping with my plan to try and upload more old/rough/abandoned content, I thought I'd post it for your enjoyment.
In case you're looking at this and thinking 'that looks nothing like a camel's foot', I should explain that it was based on the cartoon camel I saw in that book all those years ago, so it's not meant to be in any way accurate to reality!
There it is anyway - a quick, silly little doodle from about nine years ago replicating a comic I did nearly 20 years ago - and also proof of just how long I've been a bloody freak.
Oh, and if anyone's curious, I might actually try drawing this again properly some day...

Well this is a really weird example, because this is an old sketch in its own right, but the sketch is based on an even older sketch. So what you're kinda getting here is a glimpse into the sort of smut and style I was drawing when I was about 13.
Disturbing, isn't it?
Disturbing, isn't it?
You mean that I knew I was turned on by stomps and stuff when I was 13?
Man, never mind 13 - I knew about it when I was like SIX. And that's before I even knew what 'turned on' was.
If you want all the gratuitous, deeply disturbing, excessive detail, just read that 'About Me' page I was talking about... http://download.lavadomefive.com/me.....boutrrrex.html

lol always funny to look back on your old rough work and have that nostalgic feelings come back to you ^^
I can't remember the first time I drew something fetish related but I know that I always hinted at them in old comics that I drew, trying to pretend it was normal. XD
I had papers upon papers that I always stashed away under my bed before I found DA/FA and started to upload them online for others to see. Good times. :3

haha there was no way that I could do that. I had way too many for that to even be possible. Not to mention different sizes of papers too lol XD
I remember just how freaked out I would get when I was caught though >.<;;
One story I recall is when I was in high school, senior year and my dad had put a collage together of all my photos. It was nice, seeing pictures of my family and I....and then I saw a picture of one of my drawings...and then another. I was like "No.......no......No NO NO NONONONONONOO!!!!"
Thankfully I have a very open minded family, they had known about my fetish for a long time, but they were surprised to see that I drew pictures of it, but they were still ok. Since then, I got my own computer and never put any of my stuff out in the open like that again. XD

You're kidding?? Your dad made a collage using photos of your drawings? That's even weirder than you doing the drawings in the first place!!
That's horrifying for me to imagine. To the best of my knowledge, my family doesn't know anything about my fetishes, although I've had enough accidental image sightings and long-lost childhood doodles that it's not inconceivable they've figured something out over the years. Thankfully, even if they have, nobody's been so blunt as to tell me what they know!

haha I didn't think it was weird...maybe I'm weird for thinking that, but like I said, they already knew of it and I guess this was their way of showing they know that I draw it. XD
Since then I've gotten passed it, I have no ill will against them for it, instead I'm very thankful they are so understanding of it. I'm very comfortable talking to my family and friends about anything, which I know is something any furry could only ask for. Just knowing how easily people could get disowned for their passion/interests just really sucks :(

I can see the building blocks to your newer stuff in this old sketch it's really cool like a time capsule and have to say it is still a pretty good piece made me chuckle. Good thing you never binned them it is always nice to see how a artist started out gives hope to the newbies that want to draw but of course aren't at the high end of it at the start so cheers dude for the upload
Well I should clarify, I did bin the original paper version. The original was nearly TWENTY years ago. This one was a digital recreation from about TEN years ago, which I've never deleted.
From my point of view, I suppose digital files are a safer time capsule than physical drawings. That is unless someone manages to dig up some of my old teenage drawings from landfill...

I was studying at school in 2001 too... and hadn't discovered the fandom on the internet either!
If you're remotely interested (and have LOADS of spare time), there's a lot more info about my furry background here: http://download.lavadomefive.com/me.....boutrrrex.html

I know I joined in this website since last year, but I really love your works even most your pieces are made in the last 10 years. I may be crazy to say it but is the first panel from the camel sort of reference to one of your piece in 321 crush rexar lifts his foot? I just realized that when I look at this strip.
That's an interesting point, actually. This comic is not based on any of my other artwork since I joined the fandom - it's based purely on the camel drawings I did about twenty years ago.
But I do know exactly what you're referring to. I never noticed the similarity before, but the posing of the feet is indeed very similar to panel 6 of '3, 2, 1, Crunch'. I guess I just liked that pose!
