(This story has been made obsolete by the complete edition, this upload remains up for posterity)
Five years after Humanity's induction into a galactic superpower, human colonization and expansion has led to some unexpected forms of cross-pollination.
New acts, coming from and inspired by the new human colonies, have caught the ears of a curious galactic public.
Sixth Eye: A two-piece composed only of a human bassist and ralai drummer, stand at ground zero of this new musical movement.
After some bittersweet news from Saos, Toby takes the opportunity to play Mae an album from his childhood.
Note- This is the largest update yet, sitting at over 13000 words. It is also the only one so far to feature no perspective changes.
The format seen here will be a one off, and I do not expect anybody reading to have to listen to the album in order to follow along.
I hope you all enjoy the change of pace.

I really enjoyed reading alien thoughts on human music, and it helped a lot that I was able to listen along with them. Otherwise reading this would have been a lot less engaging. You already know my thoughts on music in writing and how it typically doesn't work. It makes me rather sad that we can't flip it around and read of humans listening to a nonhuman friend's musical tastes. Still, always fun seeing aliens react to human culture, I could certainly do that again.
Also, the drop in tension now that these two actually communicate is so good. I love how you brought the concept of the album around to the current situation on the planet. That was cleverly done and made the album share have a good narrative point to it.
