I still really need to listen to Jandek. I know he's a huge inspiration for you, so it'll probably give me more context for your work!

I hope you enjoy him when you check him out ^^ the album the song I mentioned is from, Later On, is as good a place to start as any I think. It doesn't have much variation... then again, not many of his albums do. It has a very hushed and somnambulant feel to it, with a relatively consonant, but mysterious and mystical sounding guitar tuning. It doesn't have very much emphasis on the lyrics, but they're still good. If you want something that's more focused on lyrics (not that cheerful really, but soothing in certain uncertain, existential moods) I would recommend Six and Six, if you want something more accessible and with more variation to ease in, I would recommend You Walk Alone. That last one is also one of his more uplifting albums, I think
