First of all: the better you get, the harder it is to visibly improve.
And also: In those small preview pics you can't see much difference because you are already nailing brush use, colours, faces and so on, which is the most prominent features in the small cut-outs.
But overall colour compositions, perspective and other things are improving, but not so easy to notice they improved. Especially not in such small preview pictures, and every picture is so different it's not easy to compare as well.
But after klicking through the pictures in a row, I definitly feel like you improved over the year!
