Rakkis was watching a big, green couch.
It had been delivered at the warehouse a few hours ago. Apparently, it was the only thing that survived the fire of an old, abandoned mansion the last day. Since there was no living, known heir to the mansion, that had been empty for ages, the couch would be sold at an auction.
The leopard seal sighed. When he was a kid, he often sneaked off in the mansion with some friends to play without being bothered by the grownups. Already then, he liked that couch. Even now, he would have loved to have it.
But let's face it: there's no way I can afford it. Better forget about it and start cleaning it for the auction.
He then lifted one of the cushions to start...
Huh? What's that?
"That" was a book, hidden under the cushion.
Surprised, Rakkis took the book and was about to call on his discovery when he read the title.
Secret diary of Stewart Stekiel.
A secret diary?!
Curiosity took over the leopard seal, and he hid the diary under his shirt before resuming work, intending to read it once at home...
