Chapter 39: Next One
Since Nicholas was keeping an eye out for trouble, the male werewolf would spend the times before the Lounge opened out in the city. It was also a good opportunity to see Lance, Drake, and Alexis as those three went to school. They passed by the place he worked at and since Cameron was living at the lounge now, she went to the school with them. The female human found she was able to relax around these three a bit more than she would have thought. Sometimes she’d see Nicholas leave for his rounds and they would have a few words before going their separate ways. However his girl Jayjay would run into Lauretta again that would be awkward to say the least. It all started about a week after Cameron had moved to the Lounge.
The male werewolf trusted his girl to open the doors as he would sometimes be out before opening time due to this new roaming around. The female trusted her guy as he was always in contact with her. However this day she went to the front door and to her surprise, Lauretta was standing outside. Jayjay got the door opened right away. “Oh… hello,” the werewolf said.
“Jayjay right?” the vixen asked. There was an air of awkwardness as this was an ex of Nicholas from a bad breakup. Had it been a good one it would have been different. “Is he here?”
“No…” The female werewolf wondered what this second female was up to but this time Jayjay didn’t see anything in Lauretta’s face like last time.
“Oh, well I guess I can hang out until he does.”
“Wait, what are you doing back here anyways?”
Before the vixen could answer, Flint came running out and almost collided with the female werewolf. “Sorry about that, but there’s no time to explain!” the male werewolf stated.
“What happened?!” Jayjay asked.
“Nicholas wants some of us to join him!” Flint then took off, wings coming out of his back but these were made of fire and flew into the air. Jayjay took off after him despite the fact she couldn’t fly. Lauretta just looked after them and shrugged since there was nothing to be done but then got a sly smile.
“You avoided me again,” the vixen said. “You can only avoid me for so long… Nicholas and Jayjay…” The female then turned to leave while those two had no idea that her words would come true.

So next time this will be longer.
