I guess this is my oldest surviving pic, couldn't find anything of mine prior to 2001, either online or in my sketchbooks. Character of a friend of mine, was big into Bloody Roar back then, hence the high contrast with red backlight.

Thanks. If yer curious (or don't know of it), Bloody Roar was a fighting game on PSX back then. The character illustrations looked like this, they were a great influence on me.

Yeah Bloody Roar was a great influence on me back in the 2000's and this one is my oldest surviving pic (the others got lost to the ravages of time). It's funny you mention this because I've recently began re-studying the style (like a month ago) since I've now a more refined eye and a wider and deeper pool of experience to draw from. I want to re-incorporate this back into my style (especially for more action oriented scenes). I really love how powerful they made the characters, even with animals we don't usually associate with being powerful like Bakuryu or Alice (those two are my favourites).
