With the addition of the internet, journalism is in a relatively bad spot since news is essentially "free" online.
Meaning that stories that generate the most clicks would make the most money.
Bringing in many stories involving clickbait or very deceitful news stories

But because Melyssa is a really wealthy gal, she doesn't mind taking on this burden in order to have the journalists be free to write top notch new articles that inform the public and tell amazing news stories.

If there's a news source you can trust, it's definitely 'The Buzz'.
