Long time no post!! I haven't gotten to do a lot of work outside of my dayjob this year, so I volunteered to do something for FC. I didn't know they'd give me the guide cover, or that the theme was the fair lol. I'm grateful for the experience though, the deadline and my own stupid ambition pushed me to do a lot I wasn't used to hahaa.
I worked really hard to evoke that nostalgic feeling of a 50's-60's fair, and did a lot of research on the Santa Clara fairgrounds. The big plushie
orcaowl's holding is actually based on the original mascot for the fair, the cheery farmer. Thank you also to all my friends who let me use their likeness to populate the scene!!
orcaowl and I will be also having a table there for the first time, so please stop by and say hi if you're around! I'll also be selling prints of this for anyone who's interested.

Thank you Deersun! It was prettt simple, they put out a call for volunteer artists and I just applied. It was a very organized process, and we got our assignments at a later time after being selected. I think they started looking in september, so you could check around that time this year if you’re interested!
