Werebird Physiology 101
Analysis on the general physiological characteristics of avian-like hominids dubbed as "Werebirds": Along with the usual rippling effect across their body like found in other "werecreatures" their shift is quite severe, as the hair branches out into feather-like structures and the lips would stiffen into a pseudobeak along with the elongated muzzle. Other than the obvious 20 ft wingspan needed for flight, the ribcage enlarges for stronger muscles and larger lungs to help enable flight and take in more oxygen, the arms elongate and gain a propatagium which contains important tendons, and the fingers and toes might reduce as claw-like nails grow on some of them. Fluidly switching through intermediate transformation stages enables them to enter a more casual walking/ interaction/ fight mode and flight mode with their enlarged wings.
