The Legend of Happy Dave
Louder than the Ventures, Surfier than the Ramones - here come Cobalt and the Aquabears.
This is the prototype track for an Aquabears album, that I hope to complete this year. I spent about a week laying the tracks down, and a further six months fiddling with the fx, the levels, and the final mix quality, in an attempt to try and capture that professional studio sound. Extensive use was made of the freebie SIR convolution plug-in, for spacial fx and reverb.
This track is dedicated to Dave "baby" Cortez, and his happy organ.
Oh right, and uh...play it loud.

Erf.. I just checked Hammersound, and it looks like the link to the Jazz Bass soundfont broke sometime after I downloaded it. (it was some time ago)
You can find a nearly identical soundfont here, tho:

Look under Bass
Soundfont 16 - SquierBass

I love your sound! I'll buy your CD when it is ready, and I hope that it has your pictures on it, too.
I checked your link for SIR, but it only runs on Windows. I drool for audio convolution software; I understand the math and have done it at optical frequencies. Anybody out there know of something like this for the Mac?
