in the near future, humanity falls into peril. the existence of nature wanes, and in light of this, several corporations have begun funding experimentation in the creation of artificial plant life.

a weapons company funding this research happens to be putting it to different uses. interestingly enough, the same process that can create life can be used to restore it. of course, this technology has been experimented using the bodies of fallen soldiers and/or registered tissue donors.

after several failures in this process, a single scientist known only as "mikelo" has created six plant-humans called "saints". a time of civil unrest has caused widespread violence, and because of this, only saints 5 and 6 have remained alive.

saint five, a young soldier who was lost in battle, was re-embodied as a tree. he spends his time quietly at the very edge of a large city, where a small amount of fertile soil remains. those who have been discarded from society naturally flee here. he and the discarded gratefully protect one another, which leads to many police organizations thinking he is something of a criminal. he has the ability to manipulate the density of any non-organic object and to create a line from himself to any other person which can only be broken through an organic form of attack. he is very protective of the people he befriends, as he has a great respect for those who can look past what he is and learn to understand who he is.

saint six, embodied as a small flowering cactus, is unknown in her whereabouts.
