And one pound of beef (fed a grain diet) takes 12,000 gallons of water to produce. I don't know the stats for a corn fed diet but I do know that a corn fed cow is particularly unhealthy and fatty... they also would die if they were not slaughtered it would soon die of horrible stomach ulcers :P
