Well, unless he is stuck in the middle of nowhere I would think there are better ways to do that.
And pouring it over his hooves may make him forget about the cold temporarily.

This is my character. He prefers hand-based stimulation and is very tactile individual. Pouring coffee on his hooves would probably not be a very clean or pleasing sensory experience, unfortunately. He's much more inclined to enjoy human beverages in morph.

I don't imagine trotting over grassy fields would be especially sanitary either, nor would that be any way to keep his hooves clean. And it's not mentioned much, but I imagine morphing to get tiring after a while when frequent. But whatever he wants, so be it.
