Kanika's attention shifted from the young borzoi from across the room, stealing a glance at Alexxi from the corner of her sharp gaze. "Yours?" The pharaoh hound's eyes narrowed, a silent challenge.
She felt the husky's grip subtly tighten, drawing her even closer to him. "Mine."
"Egotistical bastard..." Kanika murmured with a mix of annoyance and affection, even as her palm smoothed over his lapel. "If you were anyone else..." But he wasn't.
He was Alexxi Voronin.

I'm really proud of this piece. I learned so very much about digital painting while working on it, and honestly I got over a lot of my hang ups because of it. It's nice when you can elevate your work and visibly see your own improvement as an artist. <3
These characters are near n' dear to my heart and I'm so very happy I got a chance to draw them together. They're already fairly intimidating when alone-- together, they're a force to be reckoned with.
