I admit at first I wasn't gonna post this and just use it as a ref for when I draw him again with cleaner lines, but then after applying lighting and this quick background...I'll just spare my energy and use this instead to introduce him if that's okay. Anyway this is one of Gustav's childhood friends, Emile.

A lax, mature cat with skilled survivor instincts. Strong upper body strength, keen senses, and quick movement despite his big body. Part of Emile's personality is cat-like, meaning he would act like a domestic cat sometimes. Not too talkative but it's not out of shyness, he just simply talks when he needs to. One of Gustav's childhood friends, the two have a strong bond. Emile likes to watch over Gustav like a bodyguard while also acts chummy towards him. He would hog Gustav to himself from the other two of Gustav's childhood friends, but it's not out of rudeness (sometimes at least).
