Monk/rogue? That has to make an interesting character. Somehow... contradictory... as a monk is a man of religion, follows a certain path or way of living, and is often portrayed as a helper, humble and humane. Rogue isn't quite the opposite, but still... a thieving daredevil who has loot nearer to his or her heart than his fellow men and women is quite far from a monk. Anyway, I don't know what system you are playing in, the choice of monk/rogue might just offer a favorable skill set or something... like you said, stealth, no armor, and I think the character of a monk offers some hand-to-hand techniques. You have made such an interesting character, even if I don't really know anything about him.

The brief from the DM was: "you all have to play ex monks". Other than that, we had free hands to create whatever we wanted. Monks in D&D get great armour bonuses when they aren't wearing any armour, so I needed a character who could use that to his advantage. And if you're going to play a black panther, rogue really is an obvious choice, is it not?

As far as his backstory goes, he was abandoned at the gates of a mountain monastery when he was a kitten and he was raised by the monks. He tried his best to mold himself to fit a life of quiet meditation and seeking self-perfection, but he was far too curious and feisty for that. So he slipped away one night under the cover of darkness and found himself a much better home in a big city with lots of rich people parading their gems around. ^_^

I'm really excited about both the character and the drawing, but I'm sure you can't tell...

oooooooo... now this is a face I could work with. I hear his voice as the fellow who plays Hellboy...

Thanks! I vaguely remember what Hellboy sounds like, I haven't seen the movie in years. But yes, he is sleek and suave in his black trousers (no need for a shirt when you can show off perfect abs ). Even though he has no compunctions about relieving people of their gems, he also distinguished himself as someone who was willing to show mercy and tell the truth when it came to it. So not evil by any means, although he was very ready to play pranks on his friends. ^_^ *is in love*

I really love the eyes as well. I was pleased with the drawing even before (always do eyes last), but when I coloured them in, I was like 'omg love him now!'.
