That's why she's upset!!!! Who's the sh*thead that broke her heart? Poor girl :(

I never did go to my prom. >__> Though it was through a bit of miscommunication, where my female friend had asked me to the prom, but I thought she asked if I was going to the prom. I had no idea she was actually ASKING me.

Funny story: I had to change high schools in my senior year. At my old one we'd been fundraising for the prom since 9th grade. At the new one, there was this inter-grade rivalry that impeeded anyone but the seniors to do fundraisers of any sort. As a result, when the prom date came, the organizers just said "oh we didn't raise enough; there'll be no prom this year. See you at graduation!"

Speaking of fund raising, my old high school was nothing more than some bungalows and dirt trails, going up and down steep hills. Our senior class raised a ton of money, so they can get some fancy new classes, a new "cafeterium" whatever that is (we didn't have a cafeteria, perse. There was a line to pick up food, but everyone just had to sit in the dirt to eat outside, or under the shelter of the bathroom, if it snowed), paved walkways, stairs, an actual paved parking lot, (instead of us parking in the dirt lot), a swimming pool, and everything brought up to modern day standards... Of course none of my senior class got the benefits of any of the money we raised, because all the cool stuff was built AFTER we graduated. :/

I didn't go to prom, largely because being intersex I didn't exactly fit into my school's "cultural norms". So instead I spent the night crying, feeling like a mistake, and looking at a dress I wished I could have worn.
