I've never played the game she's in, but someone on Instagram made a video of her dancing to this pretty catchy song; being superimposed into various other popular dance scenes from shows and movies as well as various iconic scenes throughout recent theatrical history. It's one of my favorite videos. I watch it a lot. Kinda makes me want to play the game...for some reason.

The games does seem cute, and it's apparently pretty self aware with the search machine part.
As far as Modding goes; I don't know anything about that. What's there even to mod? Seems like you can mod the girl, as shown near the end of the video. Outside of that, what more could you alter? Either way, I'm not smart enough for all of that.

well some of the mods are cosmetic. hats, outfits, even the chance to play as mustache girl. theres also mods that are more... well lets just say you can make her dance anytime anywhere, do a dab or some other dumb stuff.
then there are the player made maps... some of them are from old classics like mario sunshine and others and more very well made platformer maps
