Isabella never thought herself to be of any noteworthy notice to anyone, just a quiet fox who was happy to help someone when they're down. It was this selflessness and care that decided her response to a messy heap of tears and muddy fur, her earliest friend, her dear love. He'd been beaten by bullies for trying to stick up for another wolf boy, to be brave in the face of danger. She helped him clean up and offered him part of her lunch, his being stolen as "tax" by the bullies. Through the bond of doing right the two would become ever so close as siblings, but their bond would go beyond as their fondness turned to feelings of belonging. She felt welcome, and was certainly glad to have been brave for someone else.
