Just a little fun thing I started on PS the other day to practice realism and screw around with some brushes. I used a ref from her Pokerface video. Anyways enjoy <3 I will probably fix this up for a final later. I find her strangely hott

Feel free to ignore this if you're not looking for critique, but you might want to work on the overall contrast of the pic. I haven't seen the video in particular, but I would suggest that you darken the shadows on the underside of her hair and give her eyes some hard white highlights. Possibly highlight the eyelashes a little bit too :3
do you happen to have a copy of the still you were using for reference?

no no no, thank you so much! I appreciate constructive criticism! And I understand what you mean. The ref picture I used was rather crappy, and there wasnt much contrast in it, so i changed the shadows from like and orangey color to more purple. But I have lot more to drepost it even o on this, so i will keep what you said and hopefully repost this...
Thanks again :D
Thanks again :D
one of the big things i learned (but hardly use myself) about shading is that you should always have pure white and darkest black in every picture for the most 'pop' and that they should be spread out so the eye travels where you want it to :D

I found this pic of her, which isn't the one you used but it's got some of the same stuff:
notice the pure white highlights in her eyes and jewelery. Her hair is pretty light so it can be harder to notice, but its also on her lips :D
Portraiture is a big pain in the ass and without classes it makes it even harder <3 this is a very good try without formal training :D
