I have a pile of branches accumulated over 4 years living at my house, the result of having four trees in my backyard. And I, being the DIY upcycling vigilante I am, save them in futile hopes to repurpose them. The problem is, the majority of these sticks are long and thin, or literally logs that I have no means to cut down into more manageable pieces (I know my neighbor has a sawblade, but he's like 60 and I'm a bit shy about asking him for help)
However, the other day I had an epiphany: Gasp! I could make these long thin pieces into snake statues!
With excitement, I began to whittle away...
And a snake was not the outcome. I somehow unconsciously made a tentacle instead.
