Erica Decker whirled her cape around over her shoulders and attached it to the clasp at her neck. Giving it a slight tug out of a habit of self-checks, she slipped on her gauntlets and tightened the straps. She now stood in the Bunker’s locker room fully suited up… with the exception of one last item. Though it provided her no physical protection, it was still quite possibly the most important item. Picking up her black domino mask and smoothing it over her eyes, she was complete. Erica Decker had stepped into the locker room, and now War Wolf was stepping out.
“H4ck, do you have everything?” War Wolf asked as she walked towards a wall of computer monitors.
The feline in question had her hands on the monitors, and if one looked close enough you could see a faint glow around her hand. H4ck smiled and turned back to War Wolf, “You betcha boss, have everything you need right here.”
“All right, what am I looking at?”
Stepping closer to War Wolf, H4ck held a hand over the computer along her left wrist. A glowing holographic projection of a building emerged and settled in the space between the two women. “So here is the main office building of Samuel Worthrite. Security is the standard assortment that won’t give you any trouble, but all the same I’d recommend going through an access hatch by the helicopter pad.”
War Wolf was intently studying the hologram but paused to ask, “Access hatch?”
“Yup. Seems Worthrite is a paranoid little bugger, and when you’re dealing with mob money who wouldn’t be, so he’s got a swift exit from his office up to the helipad. Kinda like what you’ve got here in the Bunker.” H4ck grinned at the comparison, but a glare from War Wolf quickly got her back on track, “Err, moving on, the program I’m going to send into your gauntlet computer will give you access. The only thing I can’t do is open the safe for you. Funny enough that it can be reprogrammed electronically, but it still has a physical keypad to punch the code in. I’ve already given it a new one just for you.”
“And that is?”
“JCG1928,” H4ck said with her mischievous little grin again.
War Wolf raised an eyebrow at that, wondering why that would make H4ck smirk like she was, but then she ran the code through her head again. And then it clicked. “John C. Garand, 1928?”
H4ck sighed with a noticeable slump in her shoulders, “Dang, thought I had you with that one. Figured you’d appreciate that boss. Should be everything you need to get his files.”
“Everything?”
The hologram between them vanished and a small orb of green light appeared to hover over H4ck’s computer. Drawing her other hand up, the feline smiled and flicked her finger at it. The orb flew through the air and into War Wolf’s gauntlet. As the wolfess saw the data display on her screen, H4ck gave her a thumbs up. “Everything. Go get ‘em boss!”
