Cloning is correct.
With the use of my digital abilities, i basically clone my bodies as if they were files, altering them to become different shapes as needed.
And all the bodies share the same mind, connected like computers in a internet web.

I can also choose to "upload" my prey to a virtual stomach, from where any of my clones can actually retrieve them. This process also safely contains and holds the souls without any damage, for later Reformation if i choose to figest their bodies, allowing for a sort of "safe digestion"

Exactly like a hive mind, except each body is free to leave if it so wishes.
Its complex and hard to explain, but every body, while they are all exact clones of each other and they literally share the same mind, the are deviants here and there. But unlike all of the hive Minds that you'd read stories about, I let these deviants be as long as they're not trying to commit genocide.

depends on how to goes from here. but if i endo him while he digests that body, those memories and ect will be transferred into the hivemind for later reformation. if i digest him, that body simply merges back into the new body.

Close enough! Story is: due to trying to create a link to the virtural space where the body doesnt just get destroyed and cloned, killing the original forever, by using a blend of science and magic. Cliche event happens, something goes wrong, and now I have digital Powers due to being stuck in a weird limbo halfway between reality and virtual.
I dub the virtural machines that there there, 'digites', nanites made purely from physical digital data (basically hard-light tech) and the Affliction I now have as "digitalnetic", which i coined after thinking of a 'digital' version of cybernetic.

(Can you tell i might have gone overboard with this? XD)

i wanted a original idea, so i first created the term of "digitalnetic", then i built the story around it over the years
