One hope so.
You know recently, just after watching Rambo first blood for nth time in my life, i realized how there is an odd common them of crippling loneliness in most of recent batch of furry comics in general. I mean name any one, and you will see that the main characters are kind of....very poor on friends and with tense family relations...is kind of odd, because i don't think is cosncious choice by very different author....is..is it the zeitgeist of our century?

Perhaps. Or it could be a classic tale of two unlikely allies learning to like each other as time passes. Or Toast cat will surprise us with a twist to come. Who can tell....
It could be t he classic storyline of a getting off on the wrong foot but developing into friendship...! Like the development of Nick and Judy...only Muko's inexperienced, ditzy, perverted yet energetic and optimistic. Whereareas Nyria's skilled, egotistical, selfish and mean spirited. Perhaps Muko's cheerfullness will rub off on Nyira, maybe we learn Nyira's past and there might be something the two can have common grounds on! Or a twist where Nyira still hates Muko in the end..but learns to tolerate her to make the means meet the end Who knows....All I know is Toast cat will suprise us with a twist we won't see coming...That's worked on me so far.

Is something we all thrive for. Some more succesful than other.
By the way There is some truth about a generation of author entering into a mroe somber phase of their lfie and this having an influence on their work. I just find odd how unintentionally sad at tims this could be, you DaiG are actually keeping a good balance, very intriguing, but others tend to spiral on a WEIRD WEIRD tangent.
Also probably loneliness is the most common feeling of human experience ain't it?

yeah, I was starting to think that this was the scene of them meeting from earlier. Glad we could get this covered, because it's way more interesting to see how these two opposing personalities will interact. That's actually how I write a lot of my stories as well. It's a comedian/straightman tactic of comedy.
Only it kinda feels disjointed cuz there wasn't any indication that this happens before the whole falling out with Muko and her sister, because at the end, she has a picture of her and Nyarai. Like why didn't we have this before that? And there isn't any indication of this being a flashback, or a chapter saying this taken place days before or something
Inverted Storytelling. I'm actually more interested in the introduction in the first panel, because we see what looks like a bear or some kind of large wolf or something sitting at the far end wearing a championship belt, an old turtle, a bird, and now Nyarai and Muko, so are these all Cookie's clients? Are they employee's somehow? Maybe sponsors. I want to know more about all of them, which I'm guessing that Dai will show us in the next few pages to come.
What are you talking about Inverted Storytelling? I never heard of that? And all of that speculation doesn't change the fact that, this whole meeting feels out of place. As I said before this could have added some indication that this taken place before the other chapter so it make sense and not make me think, "Why are we getting this chapter now?" That is all I'm saying. *shrugs*
Inverted Storytelling (also known as non-linear storytelling) is when a story is told out of order. The first chapter might actually be a middle chapter and then the second is the first to start recapping what happened up to that point. In a lot of cases this is done with a group of seemingly unrelated stories that have common characters and the organization that the stories are supposed to be told in is released later on.
The reason it's disjointing is that a non-linear narrative is supposed to be disjointing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nonlinear_narrative

I'm sorry but this feels really disjointed. Why have this scene now and not ealier ago before that whole scene with Muko and her sister? If this was meant to be a flashback, there was no indication of one, or showing a text at the beginning of this chapter saying "Days or Weeks ago", that would have been an easy fix if you didthat at least, and I wouldn't be bringing this up. It just makes this feel confusing and again disjointed. I understand you want to also introduce some new characters, but I don't think this was handled well. I mean no offense by my comment it's just something I wanted to say as a form of constructive criticism.
Dai wants to use an inverted story telling method to tell the story where everything is laid down out of order. Usually this is done to deliver a "Oh! That makes sense now" moment later on, but I don't think this was the scene to try and do this in. Honestly, I'm just glad that he included it at all.
Wait what? That's a terrible method of writing. What sense does that make? Are you talking about foreshadowing? Cuz if that's the case he did the complete opposite and just makes messy. And like I said I have no issue foreshadowing, or flashbacks, as long as their some indication of it. Because I was under the impression of this happening the day after the last chapter.
Inverted Storytelling works really well in murder mystery styled stories and movies such as Pulp Fiction where things are told out of order and then once the story is complete you're left to think about it and realize how everything actually falls into place. Foreshadowing is when you give a small hint early on in the story to indicate an event that's going to happen later. It can be done bluntly or using symbolism, but ultimately the foreshadowing happens to suggest what's going to occur later on.
I looked it up and it doesn't say anything about that so I assume there is an actual name for it, cuz I had no clue what your talking about, I never heard of stories being told like that. But all I'm saying this could have been handled better, because I don't think it was. I'm sorry I'm not trying to discredit you. I'm just saying this from my own personal viewpoint of what I've read so far. If it's gonna be told like that, just make it a little clearerfor the reader. That's all.
Awww... Already Muko likes Nyarai. And yep, this is obviously when that selfie at the end of the previous chapter was taken. So sudden and immediate. Very typical of Muko.
Nyarai has such a beautiful face. I like the look for her eyes and lower lip. I like the detail of how fuzzy the fur atop her head had gotten
