Here's two more characters for Law of the Jungle!
June Hadley (Ocelot): June, a down-to-earth and strangely matronly figure, runs the antique shop in downtown Doveport. She's a dispenser of life advice, gusher on subjects of art, dance and antiquarian horology, a painter on the side and, something she rarely discloses, the ex-lover of one Silas Halcyon. It was a classic story of boy meets girl, boy and girl plan to elope, boy's rich, powerful and very abusive father disapproves of the lowborn girl and in a confrontation takes the boy's eye out. After that incident, Silas shifted dramatically from a shy and studious young man to one driven by revenge and a need to take down his father. June didn't like the man Silas was becoming, and after he continually treated her less like a soon-to-be wife and more like a distraction, she broke off the engagement and left, heartbroken, mourning the loss of the man he once was as Silas' heart ran colder and colder. With the money Silas had given her, June opened an antique shop, and she likes her life, she likes her place in the world, free of the pressure of the upper class. But deep down she still mourns the love she once had.
Leslie Fallon (Arctic Mink): Now, I know what you're thinking, a little mink like Les wouldn't make it in the big, bad world of Doveport. Well, you're wrong. Leslie is a writer, it's her trade, her identity, her standoffish and sharp attitude is, she believes, the perfect lens to see through the bullshit of the world. Her size allows her to snoop around where she isn't invited to gain insight on those with a lot of secrets, she's slippery, writes under the pen name "L", as a secretive writer should. She's generally morally neutral, always siding with what is true. Is she a pesky paparazzo? Perhaps, that's how she's quite often perceived, but in a town like Doveport, a little snooping is always necessary.
