Hesiod exhaled calmly as he felt Jayden squirming underneath him. The beetle was careful not to let his full weight bear down on his former prisoner. As much as he could allow himself to get a little rough, Hesiod had taken a bit of a liking to the young man and did not wish him any harm. Still, the feeling of a small, warm creature squirming against his chest was a pleasant one.

Hesiod’s tongue moved about within his maw as he remembered Jayden’s taste. His arms moved around the human, pulling him closer and tighter against his chest. Jayden’s limbs flailed about against Hesiod’s gripped as the little man squealed in delight. This made the beetle chuckle, a deep rumbly noise that came from within his chest and vibrated softly through the human’s body as well.

It wasn’t until a glob of saliva fell atop Jayden’s head and into Hesiod’s line of sight that the bodyguard realized he was drooling. His first instinct was to wipe it away but no, he thought, he could allow himself to do this; he was going to swallow the little guy up again later anyway.

It was only a question of when.
