sometimes the pictures that come out of my vague paper sketches go somewhere, and sometimes they just stand there for hours blocking the bridge waving incomplete ideas at me.

It is not but I see the resemblance! Including the uncertainty of which limbs are which. There are definitely worse things the creature could resemble, many of which are also in that scene in that film.
