It had been a couple months since Nicholas and Shine had gone to that club. The vixen had told the fosky about working at clubs before, as well as being an escort, and walking around a certain studio. However the amount of porn videos and times getting laid wasn’t as many as one would think due to scheduling and other things. But Shine didn’t need that anymore as she had Nicholas by her side. Right now it found the two of them at the usual place of training with Hotaru. The older red panda Disonsio was watching as usual. The young females were waiting now for the first to make a move. Shine’s eyes darted quickly, looking for something that might give her an edge. A fallen stick from the surroundings caught her attention. With lighting speed, the blonde-haired female and threw it at her opponent. Hotaru was expecting this and not only blocked the stick, but came chagrining in. Shine ducked just as her opponent’s weapon came whistling over her head. With a growl, the vixen went in for the attack. Somehow the two managed to get on the ground but were quickly back up. Hotaru came in with a kick and stab of her weapon but Shine caught the leg and blocked the weapon with her staff. With a shout, both females came apart and the vixen launched a blast of light energy that could do damage at the red panda. Hotaru countered with her own elemental power and both were at it again, Shine chaining in strikes with her left paw as well as her dominate right one.
Nicholas and Disonsio watched on with smiles as they then saw the two brawling species engage with their fists and legs. This had to be the best fight yet in Shine’s training. Shine in the meantime was pressing her attack forward but even so, Hotaru was a formidable opponent. But the vixen wouldn’t be denied this victory. Her staff became a blur and web of attacks until with a quick stab, it got pass the red panda’s guard, disarming her weapon. Before anyone else could respond, Shine held the spiked end of her weapon to her opponent’s throat. For some moments, the two stood there while breathing hard before Shine lowered her arm. It was the first time she had won without resorting to trickery. Hotaru put her weapon away and the other two males came over to them. “We’re finished for today,” Nicholas said.
“But we just started!” his girl replied, startled.
“There’s nothing more you can be taught when it comes to fighting. You have just shown that by beating Hotaru you can handle yourself in combat with your staff or bare pawed.” The fosky smiled. “I’m very proud how far you’ve come Shine. Now I feel confident we’ll be ready for whatever lies ahead.”
“So we’re not going to spare anymore?” she asked.
“Oh you’re not getting out of it,” the male replied with a laugh. “But now it’s not as pressing. I feel you can also handle somewhat in sparring session with me. Just remember though to keep an eye out for way to get stronger and learning new techniques. Especially against enemies like those of the Yuga Clan. They’re not to be underestimated.”

Shine now couldn’t help but wonder what was in store for her now. The answer was revealed in a few days when seeing Loft Ereborn being decorated for some kind event. The scale of it was huge and not lost on her. “What is going on sweetie with the decorating?” she asked her boyfriend with a cute smile.
“So you’ve noticed huh?” he replied. “Remember that business I had to discuss with Ralis? Well it was for this. Basically all the cities that are near a point of the elements come here with guests and other fighters and racers to compete in a tournament. This time it’s to be held here.”
“Oh? And what’s the idea?”
“Well for one thing is brining honor and glory to your city. In addition is the bounds and friendships that are forged during this. The guests come in for the first week of the event and then the racing begins. For that, selected racers compete in a series of races before moving on to the big final. Then the fighting tournament begins with an elimination round. Only the best 12 fighters go to the finals which is to be held at the area you trained at. It’s the biggest event and it’s held every two years. It’s kinda like our version of the Olympics. This thing has existed since ancient times, even when Ish was still alive.”
“I do remember those memories of something similar being held from my past self,” Shine said. “I remember her competing in it to.”
“Yes,” Nicholas commented. “Which is why I think it would be best if you entered it.”
“Me?! But I don’t think I can win.”
“Maybe not, but the idea this time isn’t winning but to see the best you can do.” The fosky placed a paw on the vixen’s shoulder. “I believe you can win though.”
“You really think so?” she asked with a smile and touching the right side of his face and he nodded, kissing the palm that was doing so.
“You still have a month to prepare for it so we’ll use it to get you as ready as possible. The racing part you won’t do but it’s something you should watch.”
“Then in that case, I’ll do it.”
Nicholas and Shine the next day went to the circle square which was the center of Loft Ereborn were not only announcements were placed on a huge electronic billboard, but also sign-ups for events like this happened. This place was a huge community that was like family. They all came together during the holidays and other events like this. While most of the modern world had loss this way of life due to technology this place had it even with the technology. A crowd had already gathered. “You weren’t kidding Nicholas,” Shine said when she saw this.
“I don’t kid with things like this Shine,” he replied with a smirk and sneaked a kiss on her cheek causing the vixen to giggle like a school girl.
They got closer and noticed Cyrus was here helping with the signups. Nicholas informed Shine he was also going to be the referee this year by announcing the opponents in the final, starting the fight, and announcing the winner at the end along with determining if a fighter was out. The male snowy owl looked up as the couple approached and smiled. “Say hey there!” he called to them.
Nicholas and Shine made it to where he was and the two males bumped paw and wing. “You entering Shine?” the avian asked.
“Yes,” the vixen replied. “Even though I’m nervous.” (Music ends)
“Heh!” went a different female voice that was rude. “You should be!” All three looked up to see a female tiger who was just the same height as Nicholas and quiet fit with her arms crossed standing there. Her brown hair was darker than his and just as long. Her face bore arrogance and a cocky attitude. “Guess you’ve heard of me which is why!”

“No I haven’t,” Shine replied, frowning. The female tiger scoffed in response. “And you are…?”
“An outsider like you doesn’t have the honor… but I suppose you should since I’ll be winning this thing. Ashelin is my name and I suggest you back out of this before loosing.”
Shine opened her mouth but was stopped by Nicholas. “And what makes you think you’re going to win?” the fosky replied with a smirk. “You don’t know her like I do.”
“Doesn’t matter,” the feline shot back. “You may be dating her, even though there’s nothing special about her, but I can see she’s nothing.”
“What the hell is her problem?” the vixen asked to her boyfriend. “And how does she know?”
“Oh yeah, run to your guy. Seems about the only thing you can do!”
At this, the first female rounded about with her teeth in a snarl. “This bitch…” Shine growled. She then spoke up. “I’m entering in this. And I will win it! I’m ready right now if you want to go!”
“Oh I’m sure we’ll match up,” Ashelin snarled. “But don’t count on it. I’d rather have a bigger challenge at playing Poker.”
“What?”
“I’m the strongest of the females here, and the favorite to win this! Heh, you wouldn’t last two minutes in a fight against me!”
Shine took a step forward but Nicholas held her back. “Care to make a bet on it?” the fosky asked with a smile.
“Oh?” the tiger asked.
“Give me the month we have left. And I promise you she’ll be stronger than you…”
“Sounds like fun. Good luck with that. See ya around…”
The female tiger walked away with a smirk to taunt Shine who ground her teeth. “God, what a bitch and asshole!” the vixen snarled.
“Which is why we’ll show her,” her guy said. They had her signed up right away.
“Don’t mind Ashelin, she’s always rude,” the long-haired male said as they walked back to their home. “I know due to having fought her before. Also I guess the news of us dating has spread. I’m not surprised to hear that.”
“But how will I get stronger now?” the female with him asked. That answer came the next day.

The two were back at the training grounds but this time it was just him and her. “This is the final bit of your training that needs to happen,” Nicholas said. “It’s time you got your wings like me.”
“Can it be done?” Shine asked.
“Of course! It’s just like learning a new attack with your ability of control light! But this is a little different and will be harder. Now then…”
The fosky had the vixen start by meditating, to focus in more on the energy with in. Shine had done this before when learning the elemental abilities she had but this was a deeper trance. The first step was learning to float in the air with her power. Anyone with the ability to control an element could do this. This step took only a few days to achieve. The next was concentrating the energy she had and forming it into a wing shape. This was harder and it drove Shine to her limit. The fifth day of doing this found her on the ground and gasping for breath, sweat pouring on her body. “Damn it…” she groaned.
“I did say this would be hard,” Nicholas said.
“I’m not going to lose to her!” The fosky smiled as he knew his girl was talking about Ashelin. It seemed Shine had found a worthy rival. And those were needed to make people strive to get stronger. And so the days went by and Shine’s determination shown. Finally when there was only a week left to go before the tournament, she got it.
“Okay, once more!” Nicholas said. Shine closed her eyes and from her back wings came out. They were made of three individual sections each and the center glowed with a white light. The ends were made of multiple colors that were almost like a rainbow. The vixen took off on them and flew around in a series of complex maneuvers.
“I think I’ve got it!” she stated with a grin. Nicholas just went over and the two kissed with her wings still out. The sex they had after this was some of the best. But now the real work would begin with fighting in the tournament.

I really like how this chapter came out as the last ones have been more about our relationship and the sex. Now we get to more action which I'm looking forward to.
