Yesterday I was told by
Kyrio I had never drawn a spider TF. So I had to give it a try! Here is a small TF concept doodle I did to experiment with the theme^^ Besides I always love working on this kind of TFs ^^
"In spite of his efforts to avoid being touched by the liquid when it got spilled on the lab bench, some droplets had gone through the fabric of his labcoat and had penetrated his skin. He had been quick at taking off his clothes to prevent contact, but it was done in vain and he knew the change was inevitable as the mutagen had already entered his bloodstream. Everything went extremely fast. Too fast for his mind and body to be able to react properly. His hardened skin had sprouted thick hairs. His limbs were becoming thin and his joints were crackling loudly, bending in impossible angles for a human as his bones were slowly dissolving, letting his chitinous caparace become his new exoskeletton. It was still soft, and his knees were failing under his own weight. This grotesque spectacle could have been terrifying to witness. But he was alone in the lab. His colleague was having his coffee. They had been working on this serum for weeks. It wasn't ready yet. Or maybe it was too efficient.
His vision was blurred. He seemed to have extra legs. He was not able to tell if they were his though. His still human brain was not supposed to know how to move them around. It was getting hard to think. His neck was feeling stiff and painful. He noticed that he had already got dramatically smaller, down to about 3', the height of his laboratory bench. He could barely turn his head to see what was happening to his lower body. But he could feel it. A lump had formed from his posterior. It was inflating, pulling on his tightened skin. This large piece of flesh was growing at an insanely fast rate, and it was getting heavy on his back, asking him to develop new muscles to hold it. But soon enough, he knew what was being used to fill it. A terrible nausea caught him as he felt his guts move down, from his belly, to this new body part of him. But not only his digestive system was being pulled there. All his vital organs were being shifted to what was now looking like a spider's abdomen, leaving his chest emaciated.
He had to do something, but he didn't know what. His brain was feeling crushed by his shrinking head and his neck receding into his thorax. His mouth was growing large appendages he couldn't describe. New eyes were opening on his front. Eyes that would never close again. They were primitive, but he was gaining plenty. His surroundings and perspective were now much different. Everything was gigantic. Before it was too late, he climbed on his stool and stood up. He was 1' tall. But all this body mass he had lost had made him much lighter. Almost instinctively, he had managed to crawl up to the benchtop, using his rear legs.
There he was. From his perspective, the surface of the bench looked larger than a soccer field. All his tools were bigger than him, even his pencils. What could he do? Was this place a proper location for hunting? Wait. That's not why he had come there. His tired brain noticed the spilled vial and the glowing liquid. Yes! That was it! He had to.. to.. find an antidote.. something to reverse the metamorphosis.. but was it even there? It was getting hard to think. He had to stay focused. And while his head was fusing with his torso, a shudder shook his tiny body as his felt his brain shrink even further. Sitting there, he started having confused thoughts about whether or not it was a good idea to put his eight long legs on the floor. He no longer had arms or hands, so why bother? With his torso shrinking, it was looking like a promising and comfortable position to adopt.
It was getting complicated to think about an antidote or even a solution with a spider brain. He could just make a web, wander around, catch a delicious mosquito. He wasn't sure why he thought he needed anything else. With a sinister crack, his shoulders realigned themselves to line up with the base of his other walking legs. His body was dark brown and covered with small hairs. The confused creature threw a look at the giant glass vial next to him. Funny how he seemed to remember that a few minutes before he was holding it in his hands and that now he would soon be able to crawl into it after reaching his correct size. It was surely a distant dream. He never was that big.
The stress seemed to fade away when he eventually put his last tarsus on the benchtop. He was two inches big. His abodemn was as large as the rest of his body. Yet, he raised all his body on his eight walking legs, and actually felt pretty comfortable this way. His tiny claws could bring him anywhere, walls and ceiling included. Breathing with his mouth was an unknown concept. He.. he was about to give in the changes. Where was his damn lab colleague when he needed him the most? The guy was smart, maybe if he was to see the spilled vial and his clothes he could help him, help him remember... but, remember what? Who was he thinking about? What was a "colleague"? This word had no meaning... And as his head finally finished fusing with his thorax into a cephalothorax, his two former human eyes lost their green tint and became exactly like his six other eyes. He crawled a bit before shrinking again down to one inch. On the lab bench was now walking a perfectly shaped male tegenaria spider. And a hungry one. That was all he cared about for now. It was not the mating season. He just knew it. And instinctively, when someone opened the lab's door, he ran away to hide in the dark space between the back of the bench and the wall, where no human would ever find him."
