A major snowstorm last week dumped some 6-7" of snow on town. In preparation, along with the majority of the townspeople, I ventured out to buy groceries and hunker down for the storm. While there I bumped into my mom several different times, as she was out buying groceries for the weekend as she went to care for my grandma.
Oddly enough, maybe because we both despise self-checkout lanes, we ended up in adjacent lanes around the same time. And then she sprung a generous surprise on me at the last second. I love that crazy gal @v@
Overall, not too pleased with how this comic turned out. I spent roughly 4hrs tinkering with the settings, layers, colors and such, and for canvas the size I had too many details got lost in the compression. Maybe I could've used different colors, changed poses, and not relied on my usual "copy+paste" metho when it comes to backgrounds because, well, I'm lazy.
But what the hell. It's the most significant drawing I've done so far this year.
Anyone up to offer any critiques? I'm still unsure of doing digital art until I learn more about the program (ClipStudio Pro) or the tablet. They both have many interesting features, I just wish I knew how to use them AND/OR streamline the task in general. On paper this comic would've taken me a QUARTER of the time to draw as this did -v-
