Atvraae the Unusually Large Weavile's New Necklace
Kyth and Atvraae have made it back to the lake where Atvraae found the unusual iceberg (that's actually a crustal of sorts) which led to her own macro growth. As an apology for shrinking her down to an inch, Kyth also put that strange redish crystal into a necklace so Atvraae can always have it with her.
Since I've been wanting to change Atvraae's growth trigger, this is a convenient way to do so too (as explained by Kyth). I'm thinking that her trigger is now going to be charge based and also the most complicated.... so here goes!
- When Atvraae puts on the necklace that becomes her new "base size".
- To grow, she focuses on the crystal to draw out a sort of energy which then enters her and makes her grow.
- There's only so much energy in the crystal, which limits how large she can grow.
- She can add energy to the crystal and reach a larger size by sacrificing her current size (possibly without limit, so microscopic and beyond if she wants)
- When she stops sacrificing size, she slowly grows back to her base size over the course of a day (always a day).
I also decided to get a-little more liberal with the edge fluffs of Atvraae's fur since she's been feeling a-little bland without them.
Now for the drawing itself, I again tried some new things and also tweaked my shading approach a-bit. For the landscape I gave Clip Stuido's colorizer a try so that it wouldn't be flat white or weirdly blotchy and I think it actually came out pretty well. As for the shading, I realized I could just take the color on which the shading was being applied and change that shading's color to be a darker version of that exact color (rather than manually tweaking the color balance of the layer) and I feel that worked better.
