Does drawing this make me a furry? thonk.jpg
I was trying to scrawl a reaction image and it kinda grew in scope. I ended up trying a bunch of CSP's pseudo-traditional tools and did a speedpaint-y thing. There were going to be more clothes, but I'm still not very confident at drawing female anatomy and after many attempts to get this right, I didn't really want to cover it up. Also, my jimmies were kinda rustled the other day when I saw someone answer "Do you like going to the beach?" on one of those "Ask my OC anything" things with a one-word answer and a neutral, fully clothed pose, so I've been sketching some of my characters at the beach.
Anyhow, I spent way too long polishing this after I'd done the initial sketch and I'm still a little unsure about parts of it. It's pretty radically different from how I usually finish a picture. A problem I have with Vice is that her sticking-up mane makes her head look bigger than it actually is so I can't easily tell if I have the proportions right. I do like Vice a lot though. My take on her is a lot more tomboyish and muscular than Blackie's original design, but I think it fits her personality. She's insecure about herself, with a heavy dose of "small man syndrome" and a great disdain for the weak, so I think it follows that she'd spare no effort making herself tough as nails to keep up with the males in the squad. Anyhow, critique welcome.
