So, after listening to Endgame a bunch (and MAKING SURE TO SKIP "THE HARDEST PART OF LETTING GO"), it grew on me a ton! So I thought "Hey, maybe I judged United Abominations too harshly" and started listening to IT again.
It, uh, still sucks. Sure, "Sleepwalker" is good and "Burnt Ice" is tolerable (though "This Day We Fight" is basically the same song, except it stomps the shit out of "Burnt Ice") but everything is slow and riffless and boring. And Christ the lyrics on the title track are just... painful.
Incidentally, can anyone remember whether or not there was supposed to be some Megadeth/Epic Games synergy with the "Gears of War" business? That didn't really seem to go anywhere.
