Clovis: I guess that's why the masters wanted us to fight against each other. We have different fighting systems but also we have similarities. But in that case i think Lazare wasn't ready to see all his power reduced to nothing on the first battle. He may be strong looking but if he doesn't use physical strength against Coco, he is doomed.
