Hollowguts are designed to be versatile to suit everyone's tastes and universes. I, Bellumi, own the species itself. If people are interested I will eventually also open MYO purchases, but until then no one has permission to make their own.
About the species:
Both feral and bipedal versions of Hollowguts exist, both have similar levels of intelligence and both versions are always hermaphroditic - though they can present with sex specific genitals, they often are able to reproduce no matter the pairing. Secondary sex characteristics can appear in bipedal, humanoid kinds but are not restricted to anything specific. As well, no matter what, they can develop into many different body types, and are not restricted to the smaller delicate example given here.
Hollowguts are magic-based creatures. They are empty shells when they are born, and take some time before their particular Spark settles into the casing of their abdomen. While surviving without a spark is possible, very few make it further than a few months without one. Those who do are incredibly rare and shunned by others as an omen or potential threat, as rumors exist of sparkless Hollowguts consuming others' sparks to fill themselves. The truth of the matter is those who do not develop a spark are simply sterile and lack magic. They are otherwise able to live happy, healthy lives, but are less desirable.
Design Clarifications:
Heads: Beaked, box shaped, or round shaped only. Heads have no other distinct structure to them.
Limbs: There are likely other limb designs not on here, but these are the majority of basic kinds a Hollowgut can have. Unless chopped off, they will always have four limbs.
Tails: While not specifically listed, tails are a trait every Hollowgut has. Even if it's simply a feathered nub, they MUST have one. They can be extremely long, or fish-inspired, or even multiple, whatever works.
Eyes: Eyes tend to be large and almond shaped, and without irises are the most common. Any shaped pupils are considered uncommon. Rare traits for eyes are eyeless, a single eye centered in their face, or anything more than two eyes.
Horns: Minor variations on the horns provided happen often, eg: curved horns can curl downward or in rather than up, shattered horns can be in the shape of another type, etc.
Textures: Like horns, minor variations on the textures exist. More importantly though and excluding the basic "smooth" texture, a mixture of two textures is considered uncommon, and three or more is considered rare.
Sparks/Bellies: Sparks and bellies always match. Variations on the listed kinds of sparks are allowed, such as having carved glowstones, or a succulent for the floral, etc.
Ears/Mouths: These are "sometimes" traits. You do not HAVE to give your Hollowgut them. Mouths lean on the side of large and muppety if they have them, and will always glow from the light within their belly.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I obviously may not have hit every potential subject.
(please note: this is also a semi wip of a post. this is very new and i will likely continue to edit for a little while)
