A temple is a birthplace of new consciousness
The temple is a place of energy, where consciousness grows. Human consciousness evolves to transcendental consciousness. The human ego fears unconditional love because the reality it lives in was created because of the lack of love, and unconditional love is what burns the ego. It's the story which humanity tells itself since the beginning of the evolution of our consciousness. Whenever a human being works on their self transformation, they are contributing to that collective evolution. New consciousness can only grow when we let go of our old personality, our social masks, our self images, our old belief systems, our emotional attachments, our subconscious fears, and so on. There is nothing behind all these things. We just make them important because of our ego. The ego is an underdeveloped leftover of universal consciousness. The transcendence of the ego is our evolution past the primitive desires of the ego. It is important to not reject our human desires if we seek to evolve our consciousness, but to transcend them since they are what makes us human and we would reject our humanness if we would reject them. Our human desires that satisfy our ego don't seem primitive as long as we haven't transcended the ego. Only when we have transcended the ego, we are free of human desires. When we are free of human desires, consciousness becomes meditativeness. Meditativeness is a journey inside. The root of desire is the lack of love, and the ego seeks for love in the outer world because it lacks love. All these things that form our personality we carry with us because the human ego is ambitious and does not know unconditional love. The human ego does not like to be nothing, so it does not like to look at the nothingness behind all these things that we make up with our mind. Only transcendental consciousness, the nothingness behind every mind, lives in unconditional love. Unconditional love is what transforms our consciousness. It means to let go of the human ego and become spiritual consciousness that transcends matter. That's why we can also call this path the path of selflessness, because we transform the self. Only the self lives in matter. The spiritual human is the last species that lives in matter. The temple is like a gateway from the materialistic universe to the transcendental universe.
