One thing I have to say is the volume balance between the different parts didn't seem quite right - the percussion+accompaniment seemed too loud, I thought. Sometimes (especially with the lower notes) the melody got lost in between all the different parts and I couldn't hear what was going on - which is a shame because it's an awesome melody =3

I've now been listening to this song for three hours. Every time I say, "Okay, I'll go back to Apocalyptica after this run," and every time, as soon as it ends, I go right back to the start. The fadeout makes it even worse. This song is crack and you, Nobu, are my dealer. So give me more before I bust yo' aise.

personally I feel this is possibly my best composition to date, so I don't feel offended if you ask if I really composed it from scratch -- I feel proud that this may show to myself that I have been able to exceed the previous limit of my abilities!

Thanks for the info, I'm glad to know all this now. It's just that I have a friend that's obsessed with cactuars and wanted to know if there was any actual relevance to them other than the name.
and incidentally, I can't understand how anyone can make such songs just like that. Whenever I try to compose anything, I just draw blanks. I never know where to start from.

I get tunes in my head all the time, but by the time i'd get to some form of composing tools I either forget it or don't know where to start from :x And although you're more than right about it being like drawing, it fristrates me to hear that because being a good artist does not necessarily imply you're a good composer X)

Lol, yes, apparently, those are HIS idols. He dropped that style a little while ago, I think, because he was worried it looked too much like their work. As I am doing now.

those guys never told him to knock it off, and in fact I think extvia is fine with visark creating adult stuff in his style, so I will stick to my belief that this guy was being a real stick and unfairly forced his opinion on you guys. I'm glad I don't give a shit about him in particular, but you guys might end up hampering your growth based on the insecurities of a single person who's style wasn't even totally original to begin with. It seems totally shameful in that case, from my POV. I hope you two do not go through artist's block thanks to shit like that.
