Chuong: Wait, I thought in America, you're supposed to follow your own interests and passions because of you not because of your ancestors. Vietnam was like that at one point but as we modernized, that changed as people did things because of their personal interests. We do still have people who do certain things because their ancestors did.
Jack: Yes but it kinda depends. If you were running a family-owned business, that can be a little different. But you are right that we Americans generally expect others to follow their dreams out of their own interests not because of their ancestors.
