I'm going to start this off first by saying this is a fluffy draco base that I've slightly modified to fit a new breed, if the artist who made the template does nit want me to use his piece then I would be happy to take him down upon request. The base artist is SukariDragon

Now with that out of the way the Altum beast is something I had a hand in developing of and was asked if I wanted to be an elder in the species since I helped to pitch in. I agreed and didn't like the base so I searched for another and found one I liked and changed it a little to fit the species. The Altum Beast are deep sea dwelling reptiles that have moss and other plant life growing on their backs. The Altum beast needs to come up for sunlight every now and then but otherwise tends to stay down deep. The Altum beast does not have gills but instead pulls oxygen form the water around them and absorbs it directly into the blood stream. On land they have have a set of lungs but they need to be able to decompress them or risk injury and crippling chest pains due to the high water pressure.

Jari's design was based on mossy rocks on the bottom of rivers, his name translates to Gravel in Japanese. When I was picking his colors I went super dark because hes a deep ocean dweller who rarely comes to the surface for any lift so his dark colors make sence. I wasn't fur at first but now that hes made I just adore him!
