yookey did this cute colourful sketch of my elderly adult baby mouse Miriam. Here we find Miriam in the care of Yookey as her newest babysitter. The kind red panda has given little Miriam a soft blankie and put in her pacifier for naptime. So the little old mouse lies down on the blankie, suckling her paci and looking fondly at her babysitter. Then at last she lays down, resting her head against the blankie and her eyelids grow heavy and close.

She never went to a retirement home. She lived at home with her daughter when she reached retirement age. There's a story about it at http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18780764/ . You're probably right about the little cubs outliving Miriam. Hopefully with her baby lifestyle invigorating her, she'll live over the age of 100.
